Segway rides, homemade sushi rolls, flip-cup, and poison ivy.
Welcome to my life, or at least the last week of it. Like the above list, it was mostly wonderful. But you’ll notice that, much like the Sesame Street song, one of those things is not like the others.
And that is why today I am cranky. My right foot is a big round red itchy swollen yucky mess. And if you have any bright ideas for treating poison ivy, let me know. I’ve already tried calamine lotion, baking soda paste, rubbing alcohol, soap and hot water, cortisone cream, and antihistamine cream, with greater or lesser degrees of pain, mess and itch. All have been applied with a generous supply of whining and pouting and whimpering and generally feeling sorry for myself. I’m such a baby.
