Why Do We Stop?
Last night I kicked a soccer ball around the backyard with a nine-year-old. I was having a “grown-up” conversation with the people sitting around eating and drinking at the same time, but I’d just gotten tired of sitting still while I did.
It made me wonder: why does so much of being grown-up involve not moving?
Then today I did my usual Saturday morning fun, and later met up with some friends who’d done – and WON – an insane race earlier in the day.
It reminded me: being grown-up doesn’t HAVE to mean stopping. Some people just DO.
