I’ve had a year blessedly full of work, but that volume has caused me to let my own blog mostly lie fallow. To make up for this, I’m going to try for a post a day in December. About just about everything. Funny. Serious. Anything goes. Here is Day 9.

I read this article from the wonderful McMansion Hell’s Kate Wagner and it made me wonder – what if it was time to….

Stop creating new systems.

Stop crossing things off.

Stop getting more efficient.

Stop improving.

Not forever. Just for one goddamned minute. To just BE.

We are going to look back on this period of our lives at some point. Do we want to be conscious of it, rather than always analyzing it for how it could be different, looking backward for what could have changed, or forward at how things could change? Wouldn’t it be nice to exist and notice the moment?
