Upon the Occasion of My 26th Birthday.

It’s a little “Sixteen Candles” today (well, ten years on, anyway) – through one turn of fate and another I’m spending my day surrounded by various groups of people who don’t know, and probably don’t much care, that it’s my birthday.

But I’ll see The Boy later tonight – and I’ve gotten lots of nice cards – and two very fun new books from The Brother – and a couple of emails. Good altogether.

And I’ve taken the liberty of giving myself some presents. Exciting (well, to me) and fancy new hair products, and a haircut and facial in two weeks. (Also, a hit counter for this nonsense, way down bottom, there.)

It is, indeed, the little things in life.
